FDAT (Flood Damage Assessment Tool) is an ArcMap extension that allows calculating damage caused by a flood.
The main input data consist of analyzed areas, flood raster maps containing values of flood parameters,
and a dependency between specific damage and flood parameters (a table or a function).
The tool calculates damage for each area, creates damage maps (s. the second screenshot),
calculates total damage and allows comparison of different scenarios (s. the last screenshot).
SINED has developed the most functionality, including support of many flood parameters and damage functions
and an efficient algorithm of calculation (more than 10 times faster than the brute-force approach implemented by the customer).
The tool uses PolygonLib for quick Boolean operations on polygons.
