Math Quick Insight

Math Quick Insight is a set of ten programs explaining different mathematical topics such as percentages, linear and quadratic equations, probability theory and statistics etc.

The program's interface is implemented as an adventure game with a lot of animation and sound. Every program includes glossary, explanations, basic rules and formulas, help, and tasks to solve. The program automatically adjusts the level of difficulty and types of problems to be solved. However, user can choose to use his own options if he wishes.
The most valuable feature of the programs is that it enables user to solve tasks in a creative way. For example, the program allows a student to simplify quadratic equations in his own way. The built-in interpreter analyses student's actions, determines stage of solution the he is at, and, if necessary, provides feedback corresponding to the mistakes he has just made. Data for tasks and problems is chosen at random so user can solve similar problems several times in order to develop his skills.
The programs were designed primarily for classroom use and, although using fine graphics, were optimized for slower machines.
