MPEG Editor

MPEG Editor was developed as a part of the customer's system for multimedia information management. The program is designed for editing MPEG files and works with audio and video streams. It simplifies editor's work by means of additional features and prevents some unwanted results in editing process.

The program allows to cut certain series of frames from the source file and record them as a separate file of the same format for further work. MPEG Editor also provides a set of automated tools for implementation of various tasks.
Full decoding and encoding algorithm was implemented in the program to prevent loss of some frames or appearance of unnecessary frames when a MPEG file is cut anywhere between I-frames.
MPEG Editor is designed for work with video streams or for simultaneous work with audio and video streams. The system is realized as a command line. MPEG Editor doesn't require any libraries and can be used in background mode by other applications.
MPEG Editor is platform independent. It works under all Windows versions and can be easily recompiled for Unix.

Development platform
Programming languages: MS VC++ 6.0
Platforms: Windows 9x/NT, Unix
