Music Scheduler is a management information system for keeping records of available media assets and creation of long-term schedules for broadcasting companies.
The program has a database of music and song titles that can be set up from scratch. Data from the customer's existing database can also be imported. The program stores full information about titles such as name of the performer, name of the album, production dates, recording company, assigned codes and numbers, and roles of different participants in the song recording. Titles can also be managed by genre, speed, style and so on. All this information is linked and presented in a tree-like structure so that user can easily and quickly access it.
There are some advanced facilities such as creating working title sets, powerful search function, advanced access rights management, as well as automatic refresh of information displayed.
The program contains a database of schedule skeletons. The skeleton contains rules and restrictions for using some music features, repeating frequency or moods of the music that should appear this day, week, month etc. The schedule can be created in automatic and manual mode. Using the schedule skeleton the program can create the schedule itself by filling the entries with music titles. User can note down any other events in addition to music. The program also takes into account time intervals (i.e. information blocks, speech blocks and breaks). It also reserves titles to be played if the program ends before the scheduled time. The schedule can be composed for any reasonable time.
